A Grenville & William Davis Courthouse - Brampton Court Internet Data Access: Data connections from the interview rooms outside the courtrooms have now been removed. We were promised courtroom connections during construction but the promise was not kept. The building (including courtrooms) has steel double floors for easy network cable laying. The steel floors, however, severely restrict cell phone voice and data connections. The Peel Criminal Lawyers Association and the Peel Law Association will continue to press for better Internet connectivity from courtrooms and interview rooms. Network jacks provide Internet access in some courtrooms - especially Superior Court but the Ministry of the Attorney General will not permit members of the private Bar to use that resource for fear of viruses. Much work needs to be done to convince the Ministry of the importance of Internet connectivity.
